Interview: Travis Key, S, Michigan St.

4/12/08. Travis Key is no stranger to playing
against big time power offenses in the Big Ten. Going against
offenses such as Ohio State and Michigan has certainly helped him
showcase his talents, but also show that despite his lack in size he
can play in the NFL. Watch here to see

is your accurate height?
Travis
Key: 5’ 8 ¾”

your game in three words or
less.
Travis
Key: Uncommon.
TheFootballExpert.com: What
do
you feel is your greatest
strength as a football player and what area do you feel you need to
improve in?
Travis
Key: I feel that my
tackling ability is my greatest strength. There is always room for
improvement with technique.

during your college football career?
Travis Key: Teammates Javon

date?
Travis Key: Helping to leading my team to our
first bowl game in four years!

you have a favorite pro team growing
up? Favorite player?
Travis Key: The Chicago Bears,
although, Deion Sanders was my favorite player!

instrumental was Head Coach Mark Dantonio in your
progression?
Travis
Key: Coach Dantonio was very instrumental to
my progression. His coaching and guidance has improved my all around
football skills as well as making me a better man off of the field!

have former college teammates now
in the NFL told you about preparing for the league?
Travis
Key: Many of them tell me that I have the
ability to play at that level and that the most important thing is to
be prepared mentally. Always be in top shape and on top of your
game because someone is always looking to take yout spot!
TheFootballExpert.com: When
you get your first professional
paycheck what is the first thing you will buy?
Travis
Key: I am most likely going to up grade from my 1988 GMC
Safari Van to something more up to date.

will you be preparing for the NFL
Draft?
Travis
Key: I trained in Chicago with TC Boost for two months prior
to my Pro-Day. Since Pro-Day, I have been lifting and running at our
facilities at MSU. I have also been reviewing old game film, trying to
identify things that I can improve on before camps start up.

you have any goals in mind when it comes to the NFL
Draft?
Travis
Key: I, of course, would love to be drafted. But at the
end of the day, I know that the most important thing is that I am with
a ball club come August.

is the one thing you will most miss at college?
Travis
Key: My teammates and coaches.
TheFootballExpert.com: Where
is the best place to get a bite to
eat in East Lansing?
Travis
Key: I am a BIG Sushi
fan, so I would have to say this place called SanSu!

was your favorite college course
and why?
Travis
Key: PKG485, Packaging Development. I loved
the Professor, Dr. Twede, and the context of the course was intriguing
to me.

pregame rituals? Food?
Music?

Key: Just a few prayers!

is
something football fans may not
know about you?
Travis
Key: That I have my
Undergrad Degree in Packaging Engineering and am currently working
towards my Masters Degree.

Key: I do, but I try not to get all caught up in the
talk!
