Strengths: Freakish athlete; unbelievably athletic for such a big defensive lineman. Very quick, ran a 4.79 in the 40 at the combine. Plays with power. Uses his hands well. High motor, always knows where the football is. He keeps his eyes on where the football is and he does everything he can to get to the ball carrier. Very strong, benched 225 lbs 30 times at the combine and it shows in his game tape. Is able to take on double teams and clog up the middle. He is strong against the run and the pass. He will be a good pass rusher from the DT position. Uses multiple moves when rushing the passer. Takes good angles to get to the ball carrier. Good awareness and play recognition; he is very good at recognizing screen plays. Very versatile; can play all positions along the defensive line. Has tons of experience against elite competition. Leader.

Weaknesses: My biggest concern with Cox is his inconsistent play. There's no denying his talent; he's got a ton of it, but he was inconsistent this year. If he was dominant on every play, he'd be a top 10 pick, no doubt in my mind. He was suspended for the first game of the 2011 season for breaking team rules.

Summary: Fletcher Cox is one of the most talented defensive linemen in this draft. He's got potential to be an NFL great and after watching a lot of tape on him, I believe he will be a top 15 pick this April. He's got ideal size, elite athletic ability, strength and has a great motor. My only concern with Cox is that I thought he was a little inconsistent this past season. However, I wouldn't hesitate taking him in the top 15.

Draft Projection: Top 15
