NFL Draft Director
Updated April 22, 2010
Final Version
It is finally draft day! This is my final mock draft with projected trades, which are as follows:
Chiefs trade #5 and #36 to 49ers for #13, #17, and #115
Jaguars trade #10 to Eagles for #24, #37, and #121
Broncos trade #11 to Giants for #15 and #76
Cowboys trade #27 to Broncos for #43 and #76
65. (3.1) STL: Brandon Lafell, WR, LSUThe Rams need another receiving threat for its new franchised quarterback.
66. (3.2) DET: Toby Gerhart, RB, StanfordThe Lions need another running back to team up with Kevin Smith who is coming off a major injury.
67. (3.3) TB: Corey Wootton, DE, NorthwesternThe Bucs hope to continue to build its defensive line with the pass rusher Wootton.
68. (3.4) KC: Jason Worilds, OLB, Virginia TechThe Chiefs find their 3-4 pass rusher.
69. (3.5) OAK: Geno Atkins, DT, GeorgiaDefensive tackle with great athleticism; perfect for Al Davis.
70. (3.6) JAX (trade w/PHI): Chad Jones, S, LSUThe Jaguars need to bolster their safety position.
71. (3.7) CLE: Eric Decker, WR, MinnesotaThe Browns add to their lacking receiving corps.
72. (3.8) BUF: Tony Pike, QB, CincinnatiIf the Bills are unable to get Clausen in the first round, they may consider taking Pike and grooming him for the future.
73. (3.9) MIA: Kam Chancellor, S, Virginia TechThe Dolphins overpaid on Gabril Wilson and cut him. Bill Parcells love big defensive backs. At 6-3, Chancellor is a big guy.
74. (3.10) JAX: Ben Tate, RB, AuburnThe Jaguars get a back to team up with MJD.
75. (3.11) CHI: Taylor Price, WR, OhioThe Bears have not been quiet about the fact they need help at free safety, but there is little value at this spot so they improve another need: receiver.
76. (3.12) DAL (from DEN via trade w/NYG): John Jerry, OT, Ole Miss. With the release of Flozell Adams, the Cowboys need help at the OT position.
77. (3.13) TEN: Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, CB, Indiana (PA)Besides Courtland Finnegan, the Titans have struggled at the cornerback position.
78. (3.14) CAR: Navorro Bowman, OLB, Penn StateThe Panthers let Na'il Diggs leave in free agency and waived Landon Johnson so depth at the OLB position is needed.
80. (3.16) DEN: Dorin Dickerson, TE, PittsburghThe Broncos get their pass happy tight end after trading away Tony Scheffler.
81. (3.17) HOU: Dexter McCluster, WR, Ole Miss. The Texans draft the all-everything McCluster.
82. (3.18) PIT: Alex Carrington, DE, Arkansas St.The Steelers take Carrington who looks to be an ideal 3-4 end.
83. (3.19) ATL: Eric Norwood, OLB, South CarolinaThe Falcons add Norwood, a pass rushing specialist.
84. (3.20) CIN: Jon Asamoah, OG, IllinoisThe Bengals add Asamoah to compete for playing time with Evan Mathis and Nate Livings.
85. (3.21) CLE: Aaron Hernandez, TE, FloridaThe Browns signed veteran Ben Watson, but Hernandez is a speedster that should give the Browns another receiving threat.
86. (3.22) GB: Jared Veldheer, OT, HillsdaleHuge offensive lineman (6-8, 312), but yet has the athleticism to play in the Packers' zone blocking scheme.
87. (3.23) PHI: Donald Butler, ILB, WashingtonILB Stewart Bradley is coming back from an injury.
88. (3.24) ARI: Carlton Mitchell, WR, South FloridaThe Cardinals add depth to replace Anquan Boldin.

91. (3.27) SD: Jerome Murphy, CB, South FloridaThe Chargers traded away Antonio Cromartie.
92. (3.28) CLE: Dominique Franks, CB, OklahomaThe Browns continue to bolster their defensive backfield.
93. (3.29) MIN: Reshad Jones, S, GeorgiaThe Vikings lack much depth behind safety starters Tyrell Johnson and Madieu Williams.
94. (3.30) IND: Austen Lane, DE, Murray StateThe Colts add Lane who has incredible size and athleticism.
95. (3.31) NO: Ed Dickson, TE, OregonThe Saints add more artillery to Drew Brees' arsenal.
96. (3.32) CIN: Mardy Gilyard, WR, CincinnatiThe Bengals take the Cincinnati product. Gilyard says he wants to be a Bengal. Definitely a good start for a franchise known to have difficulty signing draft picks.
97. (3.33) TEN: Jacoby Ford, WR, ClemsonThe Titans love drafting fast prospects (Chris Johnson). Ford ran a 4.22 40.
98. (3.34) ATL: Matt Tennant, C, Boston CollegeThe Falcons need help at center where starter Todd McClure is 33 years old.
