NFL Draft Prospect Interview: Marcus Hamilton, CB, Virginia
by Michael Abromowitz, 3/8/07.  Marcus Hamilton is an interception machine, just ask Bryan Cupito, former quarterback for Minnesota.  During the 2005 Music City Bowl, Cupito threw a bomb in the endzone and it looked as if his receiver was going to catch the ball for the winning touchdown, but out of nowhere comes Hamilton.  Hamilton made a circus interception catch and sealed the victory for Virginia.  Hamilton's exciting playmaking ability is why he is one of TheFootballExpert.com's Top 10 Favorite Players.  Hamilton is a true student-athlete; he graduated last year with a degree in sociology and played last season as a graduate student and was a team captain.  Hamilton finished his career with 15 interceptions and earned Second-team All-ACC for the second year in a row.

TheFootballExpert.com:  What NFL player do you do you think you compare favorably to?

Marcus Hamilton:  I don’t know if there is only one player that I compare to, but since I watch a lot of corners play I have tried to pick a little bit from each one and put it towards my game. So I can’t say there is only one.

Marcus Hamilton:  Calvin Johnson (GT)
