by Clint Clearwater
NFL Draft Director
February 10, 2012
TFE: What is your accurate height, weight and 40 time?
Hamilton: 6’5 ½ 320 5.30
TFE: Describe your game in three words or less.
Hamilton: Power and strength
TFE: What do you feel is your greatest strength as a football player and what area do you feel you need to improve in?
Hamilton: My greatest strength is my long arms and the strength in my upper body. It helps me to keep linemen off me. Where I need improvement is my pass rush, I feel I can get better.
TFE: Who are some of the best players you have faced during your college football career?
Hamilton: David Snow, G, Texas
TFE: What is your greatest football moment to date?
Hamilton: Beating Kansas at their stadium at the end of last season. It was just an awesome way to end the season.
TFE: Did you have a favorite pro team growing up?
Hamilton: I guess the Cowboys because I grew up in a family who rooted for the Cowboys. However, my step dad is a Houston Texans fan so I kind of root for the Cowboys and Texans.
TFE: How instrumental was Coach Kuligowski (D-line coach) in your progression?
Hamilton: He taught me a lot, proper technique and how to be a better player. He molded me into what kind of player I am today.
TFE: What have former college teammates now in the NFL told you about preparing for the league?
Hamilton: Ziggy Hood, DE for the Pittsburgh Steelers told me to train hard, every day like it’s your last and some little things he did. Sean Witherspoon, LB for the Atlanta Falcons told me to keep grinding, you’ll do fine.
TFE: What do you want coaches/scouts to see in you that will help you stand out from the other prospects?
Hamilton: My will, working hard at this. My strength, desire and verbal communication.
TFE: Do you have any goals in mind when it comes to the NFL Draft?
Hamilton: Enjoy every day. Go in a positive direction; hopefully get drafted in the top rounds.
TFE: What is the one thing you will most miss at college?
Hamilton: The friendships; with my teammates, classmates and friends.
TFE: When you get your first professional paycheck what is the first thing you will buy?
Hamilton: Buy both my dad and my step dad something. For me, I don’t know probably something electronic.
TFE: Any pregame rituals? Food? Music?
Hamilton: I usually listen to Eminem until I collapse, it gets me pumped up for the game.
TFE: What is something football fans may not know about you?
Hamilton: I know a lot about electronics and computers
TFE: Do you read mock drafts or listen to what draft experts have to say?
Hamilton: NFL Network mostly, but not too much else.
TFE: Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions and good luck!
