Default Dallas Cowboys 2009 draft

I know the sexy pick everyone will make is safety or even receiver, however I disagree. If Robiskie is available when we get on the clock I would certainly pick him. I don't forsee that happening, so I want the Boys to draft OG Robinson from Oklahoma. Robinson has a reputation of being mean, and the Cowboys offensive lineman are too soft. This offensive line is the second largest in the NFL, however physical defenses gave them problems. I think the Boys need an offensive line man made out of the same cloth as Erik Williams. The Cowboys need a young tough lineman with an attitude to protect Romo, and help the running game. Robinson is not the sexy pick, but he would be a soldi addition to this team for many years.

I think Robinson would be a great pick, I just don't see him available at 51. Robinson will probably go before pick 40.

Default 11 picks

I honestly dont see the cowboys picking 11 players in the draft. Only 6-7 players may make the team to begin with. I see the cowboys using all these picks to move up in rounds to pick up players that actually have a chance of being useful to this team. I wouldnt be surprised if they move up in the 2nd to pick up a player that they like. I just dont think they will sit and wait on thier picks. They will use them to thier advantage. total of 7 or8 picks when it is all said and done....

Default They've shown their hand!!

Every year it leaks out who the Cowboys like and who they are have a strong interest in. Last year all the buzz was about McFadden & Felix Jones. Had Cleveland not screwed up the draft pick last year, Dallas would have had enough ammo to go get McFadden. Instead they took the "other" Arkansas back. Both were talked about a lot. This year the buzz is all about Pat White. Jerry just gets too antsy in these situations. I bet the Cowboys trade up and over pay for a guy like White with their first pick. Personally I hope my boy from Utah Sean Smith falls to the Boyz. I think he would be a great fit. He could back up Hamlin & Jenkins and provide some much needed depth at both safety and corner. Also I think in the 7th round they should select Dallas Reynolds. How can you pass on a guy like that? He is a big versatile lineman and with a name like that........ come on!!!!!

I don't think they will go with OG in the second round. Dallas picked up Montre Holland from Denver last season and has Kosier back from injury. They may address their line depth but it will be in later rounds, not the 2nd or 3rd.

I think SS is the pressing position for them in round 2. Last season showed how poor their depth there is and, although they signed Sensabaug from Jacksonville, they still do not have a proven player at the position.

I could see them moving up in the second round to get a player they want, but it will depend on who falls and where.

Pat Wite. They do not need Jon Kitna they should just trade him back for Anthony Henry. When They traded Anthony Henry it just meaaed up their defense. And they need a fast scrambling quarterback with a good arm to stop getting sacked all the time.
