Angry Cleveland better draft defense

I think that Maualuga would be the best choice. Cleveland can't stop the running game.

I think if Curry is on the board, it is a no brainer, but I doubt he will be. If that is the case, of course the Browns are going to want to trade down. By the way here is the trade value chart:

#5 is worth 1,700

Maualuga is ideal, but at #5 he may be somewhat of a reach. I think the Browns would need to stay ahead of Denver to grab him, however Jacksonville and 49ers are possibilities.

Maualuga would certainly make an impact for Cleveland. But so would Malcolm Jenkins, one of the best CBs the draft has seen in awhile.

Maualuga IMO would be a better fit in the Browns defense than Curry because Carrol who learned his defense under Parcells rand a Hybrid 3-4 at USC. Mangini/Ryan are both from the Parcells tree also. of course I'd rather trade down about 5-10 spots or so and pick another second.

To Braylon, you, and every other person who claims this "Browns must draft Buckeyes to keep fans happy" garbage .... enough already. I'm a Buckeyes and Browns fan, and I could care less where someone comes from before playing on the Browns. I've liked Steve Heiden ever since he joined the team despite his Michigan roots. I liked Braylon and thought he was a phenomenal specimen until he forgot how to catch last year and used this BS excuse for why fans disliked him. I for one pray they DON'T take Beanie because of durability issues compounded with the short life expectancy of RBs as it is. Rest assured, if this team is going to continue to commit to a style of defense they lack the talent for, they will look to gain that talent through the draft and free agency.

NOT EVERYONE WHO IS A BROWNS FAN IS A BUCKEYES FAN. Thanks for playing.

If Aaron Curry is available, he is the common sense pick. If he is gone, as I expect, look for Cleveland to take Brian Orakpo. #5 is way too high for Beanie or Malcolm Jenkins.

Post draft

Defense is the name of the game in the afc north. Building inside out, the browns will select the best linebacker available. The browns are reloading through the draft so I would look for their 2nd pick to be the highest rated lb, de, rb, rt/rg, s/cb, or qb. These five positions need starters and depth. If no defensive players are brought in during free agency, 2 lbs will be selected in this years draft.BigZ

Talking in your draft

I agree with everyone else that Curry is the guy...if he was there. In your draft he is not, so Raji is the man. Rodgers,C. William and the addition of Raji makes the most immediate improvement across the team as a whole. With K2 being gone most will lok for offense now but at 5 Curry, Raji, or Orakop are the guys.
