... to forget all about Kerry Colbert and go with Crabtree. I am stilled shocked (and thrilled) that they were so desperate to give the Broncos a 5th round choice for that guy. Curry or the top OT left are of course options, but when you are taking guys off the streets to play at a position you have to draft the best player at that position.
KC will take Crabtree (best athlete/value policy) ahead of the Seahawks at 4, so instead they will trade down the board for a safety and with an extra pick (from the trade) get another defensive player (run stuffing DT, tall DB, or LB - to replace the soon-to-be departed Hill). The rash of WR injuries isn't likely to happen again and with their young prospects Taylor and Obomanu ready to step up, the Seahawks aren't devoid of talent. They do have to decide if keeping the oft-injured Branch is worth it (~$6 mil) though.
They will take Crabtree if he is there if not they will trade down or thats at least what i would do if were them. QB is also an Option but i think there not ready to give up on Matt just yet.
With all honesty, I, being a Seattle native, would love to see Crabtree sport a Seahawk jersey, but with all things considered they would be better with drafting Jenkins. The seahawk's secondary this year was atrocious and it would only make sense to get some fresh legs in the mix with a pick like Jenkins. With the possibility of Marcus Trufant not returning they will need a solid CB that can run.
After the Holmes/Fitzgerald show in the Super Bowl, Crabtree will be gone by the time Seattle picks (either the Rams or Chiefs will draft him). By the way, Trufant is going nowhere, he just signed a long term deal prior to last season.
I'd love to see the Seahawks switch to a 3-4 defense and draft Curry (of course they'd have to re-sign Leroy Hill) but most likely they take an OL, such as Monroe.
Knowing the seahawks, I think they will trade down. I don't know a thing about Crabtree, but from first glance, he doesn't seem like a TRUE Seahawk. The hawks can go with a number of picks, and it seems to me that whoever they pick, I would be fine with it.
Thats a jump in the toilet post if I ever heard one............... Never heard of Crabtree and you will be fine on any pick........ How about shady McCoy a helluva RB...............

Reason: Opps............
... Crabtree as long as his measurables (primarily the 40) are acceptable. There are no flags as to why Seattle will not draft him unless he is considered too slow or already drafted. His production is unmatched, he is of high character, he will likely be the top prospect on their draft board, he is from a big conference and he is of a position of need.
If for some reason Seattle goes Tackle instead I see Eugene Monroe or Jason Smith over Oher and Andre Smith. I think the draw to Monroe and J. Smith is that they present quite a bit less risk with only a slight (if any) decrease in talent.
The other option is to go with Aaron Curry. This would also be a great pick and would be an excellent move for the future of the team. They should still resign Leroy Hill and keep Julian Peterson in this scenario. Curry can learn from them and release peterson after another year or two of service when his base salaries are through the roof.
