2008 Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings
by Michael Cooper

1. Tom Brady- 2008 brings a new Patriot’s offense with less passing but he still has the dynamic duo of Moss and Welker.

2. Peyton Manning - best Wide Receiving corp in the NFL – one less Bursa sack spells 52 TD’s – I know what you’re thinking why isn’t he my #1?  That’s a good question!!!

3. Eli Manning - second best receiving corp in the NFL and this guy has confidence and good genes - plus no more Shockey in the huddle!

4. Tony Romo - Witten and TO will have  a monster season.

5. Brett Favre – plenty of protection and targets - he’ll be ready by week 1 – He’s Broadway Brett Favre! – 30 TD’s.

6. Carson Palmer - still has two of the best Wide Outs in the game and look out for new target, TE Ben Utecht.

7. Drew Brees - Marques and Jeremy along with a young group of Wide Outs spells many TD’s and some Shockley developments.

8. Derek Anderson – Edwards, Stallworth, Winslow Jr. need I say more - Oh Yeah, Brady Quinn breathing down his neck…

9. Donovan McNabb – healthy this year and should be higher but Westbrook is his only target –the rookie, DeSean Jackson, is not ready to be an impact player yet – Hank Baskett to the rescue!

10. Ben Roethlisberger – finally earning his money - should have a big year with Holmes and Ward and it looks like the Steelers have scored some good Sweed.

11. Matt Hasselbeck - Nate Burleson is his only receiver along with a rookie Notre Dame TE – Matt, like Donovan, is on his own this season.

12. David Garrard- Second year as a full time starter and he now has the Pittsburgh Steelers in his rearview mirror - with an awesome running attack to open up the passing lanes!!

13. The San Francisco Quarterback – Mike Martz can make anybody a star - just look at what he did for Kitna, Bolger, Warner and Green. Alex Smith will finally live up to his #1 status or O’Sullivan will be the next Warner and Smith will be playing in Canada.

14. Arizona Quarterback Matt Leinart and Kurt Warner – with Fitzgerald and Boldin, whoever starts, will have a good season but Warner is capable of another magical year when he finally gets the job.

15. Aaron Rodgers – remember, every QB looks like an All Pro against the Cincinnati Defense so don’t get too excited yet but you have to like Driver, Jennings, Lee and the emerging Jones.

16. Matt Schaub - he’s got a great pass catching TE and a top 5 Wide Receiver with a healthy Andre Johnson.

17. Jake Delhomme - Muhammed has returned to the mountaintop but Steve Smith is stuck in exile – plus, remember Jake’s surgery has a zero track record of success.

18. Philip Rivers - He says some days he’s not even sure which knee had the surgery – I don’t believe him and you shouldn’t either!

19. Jay Cutler - Brandon Marshall is suspended for the first 3 games - maybe they could pick up ex-Bengal Chris Henry and the two could rotate suspensions this season!

20. The Washington Redskin Quarterback –  Air power will dominate but the pilots aren’t very experienced - I don’t look for Campbell to keep this job – Brennan will finish this season – He’s special!!
