As the 2007 NFL Draft approaches and the college pro days come and go, the picture for the 2007 NFL Draft becomes much more clearer.  Teams are filling needs through free agency as well as through resigning existing players and now it becomes much easier to try to pick who will go where.  The following is a two round mock draft which takes into account all of the latest pro days and free agent signings.

Round 1

1.  Oakland Raiders-JaMarcus Russell-QB-LSU-The Raiders will find it hard to pass up this kind of talent.

2.  Detroit Lions-Joe Thomas-OT-Wisconsin-A wiser choice than picking another wide receiver and Thomas would have a lot bigger impact.

3.  Cleveland Browns-Brady Quinn-QB-Notre Dame-Thee Browns need to make this pick; Frye is not the answer and Brady would be loved in Cleveland.

4.  Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Calvin Johnson-WR-Georgia Tech-Passing up this kind of talent would be the biggest mistake ever made by the Buccaneers.

5.  Arizona Cardinals-Levi Brown-OT-Penn State-Fixing the offensive line is a must and Brown would provide them more of permanent fix.

6.  Washington Redskins-Alan Branch-DT-Michigan-A big bodied tackle the Redskins could use to help stop the run.

7.  Minnesota Vikings-Gaines Adams-DE-Clemson-A good pass rusher is needed to help bring additional pressure on the quarterback.

8.  Atlanta Falcons (from Houston)-Laron Landry-S-LSU-The Falcons could really use help at the safety position.

9.  Miami Dolphins-Leon Hall-CB-Michigan-Help against the pass is needed and Hall would be the best fit the Dolphins.

10.  Houston Texans-Adrian Peterson-RB-Oklahoma-This would really be a huge step in the right direction for their offense.

11.  San Francisco 49ers-Jamaal Anderson-DE-Arkansas-Getting some help on the defensive line, tackle or end, would be a huge plus.

12.  Buffalo Bills- Patrick Willis-LB-Mississippi-  Spikes and Fletcher are both gone, the Bills need desperately need help at defense.

13. St. Louis Rams- Amobi Okoye-DT-Louisville-The Rams have had recent struggles drafting DTs in the first round, lets hope Okoye is different.

14.  Carolina Panthers-Reggie Nelson-FS-Florida-A good safety would really help this defense and Nelson is almost the best in the draft.

15.  Pittsburgh Steelers-Adam Carriker-DE-Nebraska-It would be hard for them to pass up this kind of talent.

16.  Green Bay Packers-Marshawn Lynch-RB-California-With Ahman Green gone the Packers need to fill the void left and Lynch could fill it.

17.  Jacksonville Jaguars-Paul Posluszny-OLB-Penn State-The Jaguars could use the help at the linebacker position and Posluszny would be a solid fit.

18.  Cincinnati Bengals-Darrelle Revis-CB-Pittsburgh-With help needed against the pass, Revis would be a great fit and could really help out.

19.  Tennessee Titans-Robert Meachem-WR-Tennessee-The Titans have their quarterback now all they need is a big play wide receiver to give him someone to throw the ball to.

20.  New York Giants-Aaron Ross-CB-Texas-Ross is running up the draft boards and could help this Giant’s defense play better against the pass.

21.  Denver Broncos-Anthony Spencer-DE-Purdue-Spencer is moving up the draft boards and could be a real steal here at number 21.

22.  Dallas Cowboys-Chris Houston-CB-Arkansas-Houston could be the step in the right direction for the Cowboy’s pass defense.

23.  Kansas City Chiefs-Dwayne Bowe-WR-LSU-The Chiefs haven’t had a big play wide receiver in a while so getting Bowe here would be huge.

24.  New England Patriots (from Seattle)-Lawrence Timmons-OLB-Florida State-The Patriots need to concentrate on defense and adding a linebacker is a must.

25.  New York Jets-Jonathan Wade-CB-Tennessee-The Jets need a good cornerback and Wade could help them out at that position.

26.  Philadelphia Eagles-Dwayne Jarrett-WR-USC-With no good starter at the wide receiver position, the Eagles have to make a move here.

27.  New Orleans Saints-Eric Wright-CB-UNLV-The Saints have a hole at one of their cornerback spots and need to get it taken care of through the draft.

28.  New England Patriots-Brandon Meriweather-FS-Miami (Fl.)-A strong compliment to Rodney Harrison is needed and Meriweather would be a great fit.

29.  Baltimore Ravens-Jon Beason-LB-OLB-Miami-The loss of Adalius Thomas will hurt them more than they think so getting Beason would be a good idea.

30.  San Diego Chargers-Ted Ginn Jr.-WR-Ohio State-The Chargers need to get a big play receiver to help out and they might roll the dice with Ginn.

31.  Chicago Bears-Greg Olsen-TE-Miami-The Bears could go a couple different ways here but if Olsen is there they should take him.
