The combine is over and the pro days are beginning and now is the time to increase speculation on who will be drafted and where.  The following is a post combine mock draft showing where players may go (some prior to pro days) and reflects some of what is happening in free agency as well.

1.  Oakland Raiders-Jamarcus Russell-QB-LSU-A no brainer for a team that needs a ton of offense.

2.  Detroit Lions-Joe Thomas-OT-Wisconsin-The Lions need to beef up their line and this would be a step in the right direction.

3.  Cleveland Browns-Adrian Peterson-RB-Oklahoma-A running back is needed and Peterson could be just what the Browns are looking for.

4.  Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Calvin Johnson-WR-Georgia Tech-It would be hard to pass up the best talent in this year’s draft.

5.  Arizona Cardinals-Gaines Adams-DE-Clemson-Adams would give a boost to a defunct pass rush and run defense.

6.  Washington Redskins-Alan Branch-DT-Michigan-The best defensive tackle in the draft would give the Redskins a big boost on defense.

7.  Minnesota Vikings-Jamaal Anderson-DE-Arkansas-There are needs on both sides of the ball but for the value at this pick Anderson is the way to go here.

8.  Houston Texans-Levi Brown-OT-Penn State-The Texans need some serious help on the offensive line and Brown would be a huge step forward.

9.  Miami Dolphins-Brady Quinn-QB-Notre Dame-Might not make it this far but if he is there the Dolphins need to grab him.

10.  Atlanta Falcons-LaRon Landry-S-LSU-The Falcons need help at the safety position and Landry is as good as it gets.

11.  San Francisco 49ers-Tedd Ginn Jr.-WR-Ohio State-With the need for a cornerback taken care of in free agency adding a top of the line wide receiver would do wonders here.

12.  Buffalo Bills-Leon Hall-CB-Michigan-Following the departure of Nate Clements, the Bills will want to upgrade at this position.

13.  St. Louis Rams-Amobi Okoye-DT-Louisville-With such a bad run defense in 2006, upgrading the defensive line is a must.

14.  Carolina Panthers-Adam Carriker-DE-Nebraska-Having Carriker on the other side of Julius Peppers would work wonders for the Panther’s defense.

15.  Pittsburgh Steelers-Patrick Willis-OLB/DE-Mississippi-With Joey Porter gone in free agency, replacing him is must.

16.  Green Bay Packers-Greg Olsen-TE-Miami-A young and promising tight end would give Brett Favre another target in the passing game.

17.  Jacksonville Jaguars-Paul Posluszny-LB-Penn State-Another linebacker here would be good and Posluszny is one of the best available.

18.  Cincinnati Bengals-Lawrence Timmons-LB-Florida State-With David Pollack a possibility to never return, upgrading here is going to be a key for the Bengals.

19.  Tennessee Titans-Daymeion Hughes-CB-California-Either a cornerback or a wide receiver could be taken here.

20.  N.Y. Giants-Marshawn Lynch-RB-California-After Tiki’s retirement, the Giants desperately need a running back.

21.  Denver Broncos-Darrelle Revis-CB-Pittsburgh-They will need to replace the late Darrent Williams and can do this with Revis.

22.  Dallas Cowboys-Brandon Meriweather-S-Miami-Would be quite a combination with Meriweather and Williams in the backfield together.

23.  Kansas City Chiefs-Dwayne Bowe-WR-LSU-The Chiefs have been missing a big play wide receiver for a long time and now is the time to get one.

24.  New England Patriots-Reggie Nelson-S-Florida-Putting Nelson and Harrison in the secondary would make the Patriots defense much better.

25.  New York Jets-Aaron Ross-CB-Texas-Help on defense is needed, especially against the passing game and Ross could come in and help immediately.

26.  Philadelphia Eagles-Robert Meachem-WR-Tennessee-With Donte Stallworth gone, the desperately need a playmaker at the wide receiver position.

27.  New Orleans Saints-Chris Houston-CB-Arkansas-With problems at one of the cornerback positions an upgrade would be helpful.

28.  New England Patriots-Brandon Siler-LB-Florida-There is a need for youth at the linebacker position and Siler is a good fit for the Patriots.

29.  Baltimore Ravens-Joe Staley-T-Central Michigan-Help on the offensive line is needed and Staley could do very well in Baltimore.

30.  San Diego Chargers-Sidney Rice-WR-South Carolina-Speed at the wide receiver position is needed and Rice would fit perfectly.

31.  Chicago Bears-Demarcus Tyler-DT-North Carolina State-With another Tank facing jail time, it might be necessary to add another starting tackle.

32.  Indianapolis Colts-Anthony Spencer-DE-Purdue-Even with Freeney, the Colts could use some help on the defensive line.
