With the late breaking news this is my final stab at the first round.

1. Detroit Lions – Matthew Stafford, QB, Georgia
Detroit Lions' Draft Needs
Let the second guessing begin.

2. St. Louis Rams – Jason Smith, OT, Baylor
St. Louis Rams' Draft Needs
Even with the late posturing and airline ticket rumors I believe the line is still where this one goes.

3. Kansas City Chiefs – Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU
Kansas City Chiefs' Draft Needs
We’ll see if they move his old teammate Dorsey on draft day as I’ve been suggesting for weeks.

4. Seattle Seahawks – Eugene Monroe, OT, Virginia
Seattle Seahawks' Draft Needs

They say they will not take a quarterback. I do not believe them, but if they are telling the truth this looks good.

5. Cleveland Browns – B.J. Raji, DT, Boston College
Cleveland Browns' Draft Needs
Shouldn’t he be suing SI? Filling spots on the defensive line is imperative. They can dangle Shaun Rogers as trade bait or convince him to shift to end.

6. Cincinnati Bengals – Aaron Curry, LB, Wake Forest
Cincinnati Bengals' Draft Needs
This would make Abromowitz a happy fan.

7. Oakland Raiders – Andre Smith, OT, Alabama
Oakland Raiders' Draft Needs
It might be between him and DHB. This is more logical. By a mile.

TRADE 8. Denver Broncos – Mark Sanchez, QB, USC
Denver Broncos' Draft Needs
Someone is trading up for him and the Broncos had better get in the mix if they want to compete in the AFC West.

9. Green Bay Packers – Brian Orakpo, DE/LB, Texas
Green Bay Packers' Draft Needs
I could throw darts at this point trying to figure them out. This is a terrible board for them and I’m not sold on Orakpo.

10. San Francisco 49ers – Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech
San Francisco 49ers' Draft Needs
They were waiting with baited breath for Isaac Bruce to tell them if he was back for his 34th season. Does that tell you where they are at receiver?

11.
Buffalo Bills – Michael Oher, OT, Mississippi
Buffalo Bills' Draft Needs

It’s a stroke of luck for them to trade Peters and still get a left tackle prospect.

TRADE 12. Jacksonville Jaguars – Jeremy Maclin, WR, Missouri
Jacksonville Jaguars' Draft Needs
Some might see this as “losing out” on Crabtree, but given their run of bad luck at receiver do they really want to worry about his injury all summer?

13. Washington Redskins – Robert Ayers, DE, Tennessee
Washington Redskins' Draft Needs
I was on Ayers in the top half of the first round early and I have stuck by it. They need someone to make an impact on their defensive line.

14. New Orleans Saints – Malcolm Jenkins, CB, Ohio State
Washington Redskins' Draft Needs
Everyone has had them locked in on him, which means they probably draft Wells.

15. Houston Texans – Clay Matthews, LB, USC
New Orleans Saints' Draft Needs
Line him up with Ryans and the defense is immediately better.

16. San Diego Chargers – Rey Maualuga, LB, USC
San Diego Chargers' Draft Needs
Match made in heaven.

17. New York Jets – Chris Wells, RB, Ohio State
New York Jets' Draft Needs

In the right situation he will rush 300+ times and carry an offense on his back. There were durability issues with Adrian Peterson in college too.

18. Denver Broncos (via CHI) – Brian Cushing, LB, USC
Denver Broncos' Draft Needs
Quick, there’s a run on Trojan linebackers! Stay by the phone Kaluka!

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Josh Freeman, QB, Kansas State
Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Draft Needs
His name is still attached to them, and I don’t see another team in the teens interested enough.

20. Detroit Lions (via DAL) – Peria Jerry, DT, Mississippi
Detroit Lions' Draft Needs
Now that the quarterback is in place, it is time to build up both lines.

21. Philadelphia Eagles – Knowshon Moreno, RB, Georgia
Philadelphia Eagles' Draft Needs
He’s too perfect for them. They can’t pass.

22. Minnesota Vikings – Eben Britton, OT, Arizona
Minnesota Vikings' Draft Needs
He could step in at right tackle and help them right away.

23. New England Patriots – Darius Butler, CB, Connecticut
New England Patriots' Draft Needs
This is another one where the team seems tied to a certain player so much is has to be untrue, um, true. Unless they trade up to #10 of course.

24. Atlanta Falcons – Alex Mack, C, California
Atlanta Falcons' Draft Needs
Recent developments about McClure’s contract put this pick on my radar. He can take a long walk on a short pier as soon as they draft Mack who is the best center prospect in a long, long time. How many guys do you know who could lose three contributing players around him including left tackle (Tepper) yet still hold an offensive line together enough to help Jahvid Best lead the Pac-10 in rushing? He did this without any help from the passing game.

25. Miami Dolphins – Vontae Davis, CB, Illinois
Miami Dolphins' Draft Needs
I would love to see him at the facility with Bill Parcells. He has to improve his attitude and it might push him out of the first round.

26. Baltimore Ravens – Brandon Pettigrew, TE, Oklahoma State
Baltimore Ravens' Draft Needs
It’s possible they trade Heap to the Cardinals for Boldin along with other considerations, but if not Pettigrew would be hard to pass up.

27. Indianapolis Colts – Donald Brown, RB, Connecticut
Indianapolis Colts' Draft Needs
The Colts always do something surprising. Addai’s production looks like a bad stock

28. Buffalo Bills (via CAR/PHI) – Michael Johnson, DE, Georgia Tech

Buffalo Bills' Draft Needs
I did a mock draft way back in August and put him #3. Then his senior season was underwhelming. Then he looked great in shorts at the combine. He is a polarizing prospect to say the least and could go anywhere from the middle first (rumors of Tampa Bay being interested at #19) to early second. Great potential, size, speed, etc but the game tape does not add up. They need to rush the passer and he fits the 4-3 at end.

29. New York Giants – Brian Robiskie, WR, Ohio State
New York Giants' Draft Needs
You just can’t get a safer pick at the receiver position and that’s what they need.

30. Tennessee Titans – Evander Hood, DT, Missouri
Tennessee Titans' Draft Needs
If need meets value this is not very difficult to figure out. “Ziggy” helps them reinforce the interior defensive line after losing all-everything Albert Haynesworth.

31. Arizona Cardinals – Aaron Maybin, DE/LB, Penn State
Arizona Cardinals' Draft Needs
As I’ve said I question him jumping through hoops trying to prove he can put on weight, keep it on, stay fast at that weight, etc. Someone is going to take their shot with him in the first round though and I have to squeeze him in as a value for the Cardinals.

32. Pittsburgh Steelers – William Beatty, OT, Connecticut
Pittsburgh Steelers' Draft Needs
Sure, after some posturing the gang’s all back, but that gang almost got Big Ben sent to the hospital a few times.
