Picks 1-16 | 17-32 | Round 2 | Round 3 | Round 4
17. SF: Earl Thomas, S, Texas
The 49ers need help in their mediocre secondary. Thomas in my opinion is a top 12 pick so he is a great value pick here. He is a ballhawking safety who Mike Mayock recently had this to says about him, 'Earl Thomas is the most instinctive free safety I've seen on tape in five or six years. He's a playmaker, he's got loose hips, he's got the best range of any center fielder I've seen coming out of college football in a long time.' Wow, quite a compliment from one of the best scouts in the country.
Vote and Debate on who the 49ers will draft
18. PIT: Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State
Cornerback is a position that the Steelers must upgrade in the draft. Kyle Wilson has been rising on draft boards ever since the Senior Bowl. He has extremely fluid hips and is very competitive. He is the clear cut number 2 CB in this draft class.
Vote and Debate on who the Steelers will draft
19. ATL: Demaryius Thomas, WR, Georgia Tech
A bit of a surprise here. I believe that Atlanta's number one concern is DE, but unfortunately their targeted DE's are all gone. Brandon Graham and Jared Odrick are options here, but they go with the playmaker Thomas from Georgia Tech. Thomas will be another weapon for Matt Ryan and he will take a lot of the pressure off of Roddy White. He will help out Atlanta's offense in multiple ways.
Vote and Debate on who the Falcons will draft
20. HOU: Ryan Mathews, RB, Fresno State
Houston would love it if Earl Thomas, Kyle Wilson or Joe Haden fell this far but, they don't so they go with Ryan Mathews. He is a bruising back who will go quite well with Steve Slaton. He can take 20+ carries a game and he can run inside the tackles. This is a perfect back to go along with Slaton.
Vote and Debate on who the Texans will draft
21. CIN: Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma
The Bengals need a good young tight end. Gresham has a crazy amount of potential and if it wasn't for his injury concerns he would be a top 10 talent. This immediately upgrades that position and adds another dimension to their offense
Vote and Debate on who the Bengals will draft
22. NE: Jared Odrick, DE/DT, Penn State
After the Patriots traded Richard Seymour, they really did not have anyone to fill that role. I think that they will make filling that role a big priority this off season. Odrick is an extremely strong and versatile lineman and he could step in and play the DE spot in the 3-4. There are rumors that the Patriots love him; I don't care, that is not why he is their pick here. More than half of all the draft rumors are never true to begin with. I am looking at what I believe teams will do in this mock, and if Odrick is available at pick 22, I believe he will be a New England Patriot.
Vote and Debate on who the Patriots will draft
23. GB: Maurkice Pouncey, G/C, Florida
Best player available. I don't like Anthony Davis here (like I have mentioned before) and I think that if they are going to do a best player amiable draft, this pick needs to be Pouncey. He is a top 20 pick, and he can help out a terrible offensive line. He is a strong, athletic and a great leader. This is a solid pick for Green Bay.
Vote and Debate on who the Packers will draft
24. PHI: Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers
The Eagles just traded for Ernie Sims, so that means that Philadelphia might not try to go linebacker here. Davis is a terrific OT who has all the talent in the world. He is a little inconsistent, but still at pick 24, he is unbelievable value. He should not fall this far, but if he does, the Eagles will jump all over him.
Vote and Debate on who the Eagles will draft
25. BAL: Devin McCourty, CB, Rutgers
The Ravens cut Samari Rolle and they don't have too much else behind Lardarius Webb at CB. McCourty would be a huge pick here. He can compete at CB and help out a lot in special teams.
Vote and Debate on who the Ravens will draft
26. ARI: Sergio Kindle, OLB, Texas
Arizona could use help at the LT position, but Kindle is way too valuable to pass on here. He could go as high as #12 and he falls to #26. The Cardinals need linebackers and Kindle will be a great addition to help get pressure on opposing QBs.
Vote and Debate on who the Cardinals will draft
27. DAL: Rodger Saffold, OT, Indiana
The Cowboys released Flozell Adams. They need to bring someone in to help compete with Doug Free. Protecting Tony Romo will become a priority this off season and I believe that either a 1st or a 2nd round pick will be spent on a LT prospect.
Vote and Debate on who the Cowboys will draft
28. SD: Terrence Cody, DT, Alabama
The Chargers need to find a young NT for their defense. Cody is a monstrous defender who stands out in film. He has questions about his weight, but the film does not lie. He is unmovable. He is strong, tough and a monstrous defender. He can compete early in his career.
Vote and Debate on who the Chargers will draft
29. NYJ: Brandon Graham, OLB, Michigan
The Jets need to get a young pass rusher, they need a young nose tackle and they could use a young DE. Graham is a great OLB prospect who is constantly getting compared to LaMarr Woodley, that's quite a compliment. Graham is a great athlete, and a tremendous pass rusher. Great pick for the Jets.
Vote and Debate on who the Jets will draft
30. MIN: Tim Tebow, QB, Florida
Tim Tebow in the 1st round? I believe Tebow will go in the 1st round. I am not sure who will take him, but believe he will be gone by the end of the 1st. If Favre does not come back to the Vikings, all of a sudden QB is a huge need. Tebow is going to require a lot of coaching, but you cannot deny his potential. He is a tough, physical leader with fantastic intangibles.
Vote and Debate on who the Vikings will draft
31. IND: Charles Brown, OT, USC
The Colts need an OT to help their line. Brown is a prospect that had a good season at USC and has first round talent. He is a little lighter than desired weight wise, but he is a good value pick here for the Colts.
Vote and Debate on who the Colts will draft
32. NO: Sean Weatherspoon, OLB, Missouri
The Saints could use some youth in the linebacking corp. Weatherspoon is a vocal leader who can play OLB for the defending world champions. He is fast and a great athlete.
Vote and Debate on who the Saints will draft
