1. Chris Wells, Ohio State
Ht - 6-1, Wt - 237, 40 - 4.40
Wells has amazing size with
great speed, only thing that worries me is his injury history. RB
is a fragile position, and Wells' biggest question mark is his
durability. May drop farther than expected because of these
questions.
2. Knowshown
Moreno, Georgia
Ht - 5-11, Wt - 207, 40 - 4.55
Officially declared for the NFL Draft. With
Beanie Wells having durability issues, Moreno could jump be the top RB
in
the draft.
3. Donald Brown,
Connecticut
Ht - 5-10, Wt - 208, 40 -
4.50
4. LeSean McCoy, Pittsburgh
Ht - 5-11, Wt - 307,
40 - 4.45
5. Shonn Greene, Iowa
Ht - 5-11, Wt - 235, 40 -
4.55
Has officially declared for the NFL Draft. - 1/1/09
From the Des Moines Register
"'After a great junior season, it would be great for Shonn to come
back,
but really, with his age, it looks to be a long shot," said Michael
Abromowitz of thefootballexpert.com, a Web site specializing in the NFL
draft.
“If he stayed for his senior season, his draft stock
might actually be hurt, because he would be (24) before his first
professional game.”
Greene though has used the 2008 college football season to springboard
his draft stock more than almost any other prospect in the NFL Draft.
As of now, I would project him as a mid to late 2nd round draft pick.
He has the perfect measurements you want in a bruiser, at 5-11, 235
lbs. The one question mark for Green is his speed. If Greene, can run a
sub 4.55 speed I think it will solidify him for the 2nd round of the
2009 NFL draft. A 40 time above that, will definitely raise question
marks, and probably drop him to the 3rd round.
Greene's stats this year has been impressive. Every game, he has rushed
over 100 yards, and except for the FIU game, ran between 20-30 times,
showing his durability. I think the Penn State game proved that his
stats were not padded by his competition. Running 28 times, for 117
yards and 2 TDs against one of the best defenses gives me assurance
that he can play in the NFL. Ohio State's Chris Wells ran 22 times, for
only 55 yards.
6. Rashad Jennings,
Liberty
Ht - 6-1, Wt - 232, 40 -
4.50
Great combination of size and speed. Dominated lower competition.
7. Andre
Brown, North Carolina St.
Ht - 6-0, Wt - 225 40 -
4.55
8. Glen
Coffee,
Alabama
Ht - 6-2 Wt - 200, 40 - 4.50
Officially declared for the NFL Draft. Would have benefited from one
more season, but if he can bulk up and run a nice 40 time, could go as
early as the 3rd round.
9. Javon Ringer,
Michigan St.
Ht - 5-0, Wt - 205, 40 -
4.50
10.
James Davis,
Clemson
Ht - 5-11, Wt - 210, 40 - 4.50
11. Devin Moore,
Wyoming
Ht - 5-10, Wt - 190, 40 -
4.38
This guy is just super super fast. As of now the "Chris Johnson"
of the draft class. With a sub 4.4
40 can be a late first rounder or early 2nd rounder. Should not
be a sleeper for long. I could watch him run all day.
Surprisingly was not invited to the Combine.
12. Cedric Peerman,
Virginia
Ht - 5-10, Wt - 210, 40 -
4.41
13 Kory Sheets, Purdue
Ht - 5-11, Wt - 204, 40 - 4.38
14. Mike
Goodson, Texas A&M
Ht - 6-0, Wt - 195, 40 -
4.45
15. Jeremiah Johnson,
Oregon
Ht - 5-10, Wt - 205, 40 - 4.55
16. Ian Johnson,
Boise St.
Ht - 5-11, Wt - 210, 40 -
4.40
17. Jarvarris
Williams, Tennessee St.
Ht - 5-10, Wt - 223, 40 -
